Why is using a broker different?
Many customers have spoken to their bank or building society and have discussed what they can potentially spend on a property, but often this information is not accurate when the customer actually wants to go ahead and buy their home. This is because the mortgage lenders will only be able to advise on their own products and there may well be cheaper or more suitable deals elsehere.
