Why is using a broker different?

Many customers have spoken to their bank or building society and have discussed what they can potentially spend on a property, but often this information is not accurate when the customer actually wants to go ahead and buy their home. This is because the mortgage lenders will only be able to advise on their own products and there may well be cheaper or more suitable deals elsehere. There may also be different rules when it comes to certain specialist properties particularly in regard to builder incentives, offer length, deposit amounts , application timescales and the unique qualification rules that come with Shared Ownership.
